Welcome to Your Town, a prototype Game Development concept. I created Your Town to achieve two objectives:
a) Demonstrate that you can code and publish a mobile game easily and
b) Pilot a crowd-sourcing concept for Game Design
The first basic playable engine took 10 hours (including appstore submission) to develop. I leveraged on some existing free graphics assets and some existing game models. But this is just the start!
Through this site and the Facebook Page, user can vote in new ideas on how the game can EVOLVE. We will include a voting mechanism in the App itself in future updates. Every two weeks, we take in the top few user generated ideas/feedbacks and update the game. Why two weeks? Well, two weeks is just enough time to get Apple to approve the updated version plus a little down time for us to code in the changes
